Studio Gest’s passion for artistry runs deep. More than a design element, art is a catalyst for identity, connection, and community life. For this reason, Studio Gest has embraced art patronage as a strategic element of its mission to promote positive social sustainability in the communities in which it operates.
Beyond institutional partnerships, Studio Gest champions creativity through a novel commission-based, site-specific, public art program. Commissions are temporary and created to provide artists with unconventional platforms to transform neighborhoods, spark dialogue, and enrich daily life. These installations go beyond aesthetics, they seek to foster community identity, promote cultural exchange, and even enhance well-being by creating spaces for reflection and connection.
With a focus on local artists, each project is curated to challenge traditional views of art and patronage. The result is living, breathing installations that energize public spaces during the urban transformation phase, even before construction is completed, and invite everyone to experience art in new, unexpected ways, free and open to all.
Studio Gest is a proud sponsor of MASI, supporting initiatives that enhance accessibility and promote free, inclusive cultural participation for a broad and diverse audience. These initiatives include:
Free Thursdays: On the first Thursday of every month, visitors can enjoy free admission from 18:00 to 20:00 at both museum locations, LAC and Palazzo Reali, to explore the collections and exhibitions.
International Museum Day: Every May, MASI joins museums across Switzerland and Liechtenstein in celebrating International Museum Day. Visitors are invited to enjoy a unique cultural experience, from discovering exhibitions at LAC and Palazzo Reali to taking part in engaging activities and guided flash tours, all free of charge.
Upcoming International Museum Day: Sunday May 17, 2026
Openings
On the Saturday before a new exhibition, the public is invited to preview the show and engage directly with artists, curators, the director, and museum staff.

Studio Gest has partnered with CSIA to support young professionals in applied arts.
Each academic year, students are invited to express their creativity by transforming ordinary construction site panels into works of art. These panels are later displayed as public art installations, enhancing construction sites and revitalizing urban spaces.
